First of all, wear a mouth guard, whether you’re practicing or in a game. A mouth guard is a sturdy and reliable appliance that can defend your teeth and jaw from hard, forceful objects that may hit them. The best beverage to drink while you are participating in your sport or activity is water. Third, combat dry mouth often as you can. Dry mouth is a typical dental issue among athletes involving the inability to produce the proper amount of saliva. As our saliva washes away food particles and bacteria, a dry mouth can lead one’s mouth vulnerable to disease. To help circumvent this problem, drink water regularly and brush your teeth after your games and practices.
